During Reza Shah's era, extensive measures were taken for the health and treatment of the people of Iran with the establishment of pharmacy, medicine and dentistry faculties, training of doctors and specialists, establishment of nursing and rehabilitation schools and the construction of hundreds of hospitals and clinics throughout Iran.
During Reza Shah's era, extensive measures were taken for the health and treatment of the people of Iran with the establishment of pharmacy, medicine and dentistry faculties, training of doctors and specialists, establishment of nursing and rehabilitation schools and the construction of hundreds of hospitals and clinics throughout Iran. This was while before Reza Shah came to power, in the Qajar period, due to the lack of doctors, medicine and health centers, various and contagious diseases caused many deaths. Diseases such as malaria, trachoma, and ringworm were the most common diseases that probably more than half of Iranians were suffering from such diseases before. When Reza Shah came to power, in addition to the establishment of medical and health centers, very prominent measures were taken to eradicate epidemic diseases and treat patients.
But in the later era, the Imperial Organization of Social Services was founded with the aim of improving the country's health situation as much as possible on the 6th of May 1948 under the chairmanship of Highness Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and vice president Highness Ashraf Pahlavi.
